My ident is a re-brand of BBC Three. The main idea of the ident is going to be based on the Nintendo GameCube start-up. This is because i thought that people who were brought up around the time of this gaming console can easily relate to it. The main target audience is going to be 16-30 year olds and this is because of the types of programmes BBC Three broadcast. The ident is most likely to be aired before a cartoon programme they may show like Family Guy. My idea could become a long term BBC Three logo if the logo changed to match each season of the year. This wait is up to date with the current time period and it could also feature any big news stories in the logo. Previous idents of BBC Three have been very modern using modern themes or colours through the logo or ident. I have made sure that i have incorporated this in my logo and ident aswell.

I am rebranding BBC Three because i feel that the current logo and ident does not represent the BBC Three channel. It is very bland in comparison to previous dents that BBC Three have produced and therefore i have decided to create a different logo and ident to put BBC Three across to the audience and viewers. I will make the ident more relevant to BBC Three by there being more things in the ident. The main target audience is younger people between the ages of 18 to around 25 and the logo and ident will appeal to this target audience by the ident being more retro and people will be able to relate to this. The key content in the ident will be the cube going around the screen to print the squares that end up creating the logo. I could change this so the 3D shape has 11 sides for the 11 components that make the logo. Then when it gets to the end, the shape will disappear and leave the logo.
